First Thing First—What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical in the cannabis Sativa plant. It is also known as cannabis or hemp. CBD is not the component of cannabis that impacts your awareness. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the component that will create an altered experience. It is essential to know the difference.

CBD and Skin Care

CBD has been known for its healing properties; CBD provides antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, which may be valuable in treating skin concerns like inflammation, hives, and dryness.

CBD is known to help with many skin conditions:

  • Eczema: CBD may help combat the inflammation related to eczema rashes and stop any pain or sensitiveness around the area.
  • Psoriasis: Psoriasis may be effectively treated with CBD by reducing the inflammation that psoriasis may cause.
  • Burns: The moisturizing properties of CBD may also help restore some of the lipids of burned skin.
  • Acne: CBD may be used for acne by reducing inflammation and blemishes and relieving redness around pimples.
  • Inflammation: CBD may be useful for various chronic skin conditions; it may help to soothe the affected area.
Which to Choose: Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum or Isolate

CBD-infused products are in different categories: full-spectrum, broad-spectrum CBD, and CBD isolate.

Ed. Donnelly, the founder of AmourCBD explains the difference, “Full-spectrum CBD oil contains all the compounds found in hemp, including trace amounts of THC. Broad-spectrum CBD oil, on the other hand, contains a range of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids derived from hemp, but no THC,” Meanwhile, “CBD isolate is the purest version of CBD.  It doesn’t contain any other compounds that you find in a hemp plant.”
